The gentleman seated here is the sculptor Eduardo (Edward) Ardolino. His company, the Edward Ardolino Company, did the actual carving for Lee Lawrie on the works at the Nebraska State Captiol. There are other works on which Lawrie and Ardolino collaborated. Stay tuned for more research on that.

Ardolino was born in from Torre le Nocelle, Italy around 1883. He immigrated to the United States on October 21, 1898 and became prominet in his field. He died on April 12, 1945 in Metuchen, New Jersey at 62 years of age.
