Here is an election poster of my Granfather, August C. Harm (1877-1957). He was once a city commissioner in Lincoln, Nebraska during the Great Depression.
He was born the same year as Lee Lawrie was in Streator, Illinois. His father's name was John Harm, but I have few details of beyond that. Grandpa was a harness maker for a number of years and patented an adjustable horse collar in the late 1800s. His harness shop was located in Lincoln, Nebraska in what is now known as the Haymarket District, a series of old warehouse buildings that have been rehabbed near the old Burlington Depot in downtown Lincoln. His wife's name was Irene Harm.
