Throughout his career, Lee Lawrie used the figure of the Sower. Other figures of the Sower appear in at Michigan State U., An emblem for Scripps College, the Nebraska State Captiol and on his 1932 Society of Medalists design.
It is often accompanied by the passage from Galatians, Whatever a Man Soweth, So Ye Shall Also Reap.
