Copyright Policy

Copyright law permits the scholastic use of materials under the fair use doctrine.

Among the multiple aims of this website is to further the academic study, the recognition of the works of Lee Oskar Lawrie, (1877-1963) and to publicize and promote an understanding of the vast scope of his works.

In several years of scholastic research, I have been unable to locate a single source that catalogues and consolidates research on Lawrie.

His work appears nationally and internationally, yet no single source has attempted to synthesize the fragmented pieces of his legacy.

This site consists of original photographs by the author of this site as well as photographs taken from scholarly journals, and architectureal trade journals, originating mostly from the 1920s through 1950s.

Wherever images are used that were not generated by the author, these images will be credited to the sources from which the author has drawn this material.

If anyone can establish copyrights to materials that have not been properly credited, please contact the webmaster of this site.

None of the images that originated outside the scope of the author's personal work will be sold or otherwise offered for commercial purposes rather than academic, or aesthetic interests.
